Adding to Your Subsidized Care Hours
If you or a loved one is receiving subsidized care, but need more… we can help!
In addition to the care they receive from Retire-At-Home Services Mississauga South and Etobicoke, many of our clients also receive services from the government through the Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) and the Local Health Integration Network (LHIN). Subsidized home care services are paid for by the provincial government of Ontario.
For any one person, subsidized hours will provide a maximum of 14 hours of home care per week. Many of our clients, however, receive as little as 1 or 2 hours a week, which is simply not enough for most people. In these cases, supplementary hours of care are needed from a private home care agency. That is where Retire-At-Home comes in.
Retire-At-Home Services will work with the Case Manager for your subsidized hours to coordinate the care workers coming into your home, making sure that our Personal Support Workers (PSWs) are scheduled around the hours provided by the government to help you get the most out of both public and private services.
For no extra charge, we can liaise with that Case Manager for additional requests or report updates of any changes to the health of your loved one. We do this as part of our regular service to you, to help lighten your load and give you peace of mind.
If you are not already receiving subsidized care, and you would like to begin, we can help you understand who to call!
